The Ray Baird Memorial Scholarship is designed to defray the cost of earning college credit toward a Labor Studies certificate through the OCC/Cornell Labor Studies Program. This year, eight scholarships are available, in the amount of $500 each, for tuition and books. Four scholarships are available for the Fall 2007 semester and four scholarships are available for the Spring 2008 semester. In granting these scholarships, the committee will consider the following criteria:
1) Applicant’s history of union activism
2) Applicant’s financial circumstances
3) Applicant’s minority status

In order to be considered for the scholarship for the Fall 2007 semester, this application must be completed and returned no later than August 24, 2007. You will be notified as to whether or not you have been awarded the scholarship by August 29, 2007.
