Ann Marie Taliercio, President of the Central NY Area Labor Federation, AFL-CIO announces new officers for the Mid State Labor Council, AFL-CIO

The Central New York Area Labor Federation, AFL-CIO is the area federation representing over 100,000 members of 200 local unions in eleven central New York counties: Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Madison, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, Tioga, and Tompkins.  The labor council that represents Cortland and Tompkins counties is the Mid State Labor Council. The Mid State Labor Council is one of nearly 500 state and local labor councils of the AFL-CIO and are the heart of the labor movement. They are democratically elected bodies dedicated to represent the interests of working people at the state and local level.

Central NY Area Labor Federation, AFL-CIO announces that on Tuesday , January 17th the Mid State Labor Council, AFL-CIO held elections for their Executive Board President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and three At Large Members.

The entire Executive Board of the Central NY Area Labor Federation, AFL-CIO would like to welcome and congratulate Jason David, UAW 2300, upon being elected President of the Mid State Labor Council, AFL-CIO.  We also would like to welcome and congratulate Thomas Hingher, CSEA 605, on being elected Vice President, John Tavares, UAW 2300 Secretary, David Marsh, LIUNA 785 Treasurer, and At Large Members Rebecca Bryan, UUP, Adam Piasecki, NYSUT, Stacey Black, IBEW 241.  Their dedication to the labor movement in Ithaca and Cortland are greatly appreciated!

The entire Executive Board would like to thank former President, Tom Sieling, for his years of service to the Mid State Labor Council and the Labor Movement.
