Local Union Members Stand with Firefighter for Free Speech

Broome-Tioga Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO officers Lee Conrad, Alliance@IBM/CWA1701 ,  Burt Whiteman, PEF and Tom Perry, SEIU200United were among the union marchers who showed up to support the Firefighters Local 921 rally for free speech rights on December 15. 

About 150 union and community supporters participated in a silent march to support free speech rights in response to the suspension without pay of IAFF Local 921 president Marty Meany. Among the union marchers were members from CWA, NYSUT, PEF, SEIU200United, Teamsters, and others who joined Firefighters from around the region.
