Central New York Area Labor Federation, AFL-CIO Night at the Syracuse Crunch

Saturday January 30,2010 was Labor's big night out in Syracuse. Of course, I'm referring to the Central New York Area Labor Federation Night at the Syracuse Crunch. The Crunch were taking on long time rivals the Binghamton Senators on the ice at the Onondaga County War Memorial at 7:30PM. There was a great turnout from Labor for this event. In fact, eight Unions from the ALF participated by purchasing blocks of tickets: UA Local 267, SEIU Local 200United, 1199SEIU, CSEA, USW, PBA, LIUNA 633, and IBT 317. Labor was definitely in the house and everyone had a good time on this beautiful winters evening as the Crunch prevailed 5-1.



The Crunch recognized the seven Unions from the ALF in the house on the overhead scoreboard over center ice during the third period. Also, a member from SEIU Local 200United won the Crunch Gift Pack, graciously donated by the team to the ALF. Kudos to the Crunch for putting on a great event and for welcoming Labor warmly.



All in all Labor Hockey Night was a great success, a good time was had by all and even Mother Nature and Old Man Winter smiled on us. And by the way , did I mention the Crunch won?
